XI’AN REFRA TUNGSTEN & MOLYBDENUM CO.,LTD.(REFRA) is not only a high-tech enterprise but also a holding subsidiary controlled by listed corporation Western Metal Materials. The predecessor of REFRA is the Sixth Research Department of Northwest Institute for Non-ferrous Metal Research, which is a research、processing base、industry and technology development center of China’s important rare metal materials. REFRA develops from Tungsten & Molybdenum Materials and Products Branch of Western Metal Materials (WMM). After reform, a joint stock enterprise with independent legal person status was established in Feb.2010. In Nov.2013, long-term strategic partner C&L Development Corp. made equity investment, then REFRA become a Sino-foreign joint venture with registered capital 50 million RMB. XI’AN REFRA has invested 90 million RMB to build high quality tungsten & molybdenum materials and products in Xi’an Economic and Technological Development zone in 2013. This project has been officially put into operation in Sept. 2015. 950mm four rollers rolling mill unit、800mm six rollers mill unit and ancillary equipment、deep processing equipment and related device will be added, which will combine 2800mm hot roller of Western Metal Material to achieve annual output 450 tons of tungsten & molybdenum plates、sheets and deep processing products. This ability has reached international advanced level. REFRA is oriented as a productive corporation. The main operation range involves development、production and marketing of refractory metal material products, like tungsten & tungsten alloy、molybdenum & molybdenum alloy、tantalum、niobium sheet、plate、strip、foil、wire、rod、 pipe、deep processing products、designing and producing of industrial furnace、heater and heat shield.
